According to Keyrock's latest report released on May 24, AI Agents have completed 176 million on-chain transactions over the past year, with total settlement value exceeding $73 million. The report shows that 98.6% of AI Agent payments are now settled through USDC, as crypto rails increasingly serve as the default payment layer for autonomous agents purchasing data, cloud computing, API services, and AI inference resources. Approximately 76% of Agent transactions are valued below $0.30, while on-chain stablecoin transfers cost fractions of a cent, making blockchain infrastructure more suitable for high-frequency, ultra-micro payments than traditional banking systems.
