GateNews
According to S&P Global Market Intelligence economist Harumi Taguchi, the Bank of Japan may raise its policy rate from the current 0.75% to 1% in July, with further increases planned for December and 2027 to reach 1.5%. Taguchi noted that rising oil prices and yen weakness could intensify inflation concerns and prompt additional BOJ rate hikes.
