Chinese Commerce Minister Holds Talks with German Counterpart on Trade Relations on May 27

According to Jin10, Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao held talks with German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Habeck in Beijing on May 27. The two sides discussed Sino-German and China-EU trade relations. Wang pointed out that recent protectionist trade measures taken by Europe have caused serious disruptions to business cooperation. China and Germany are both major manufacturing, exporting, and trading nations that benefit from economic globalization and should support free trade and multilateralism, Wang said.
