India Faces 400,000 bpd LPG Supply Gap as Iranian War Disrupts Imports

GateNews
According to Kpler data released May 23, India, the world's third-largest liquefied petroleum gas consumer, faces a supply shortfall of approximately 400,000 barrels per day compared to pre-war levels due to declining Iranian imports caused by regional conflict. India's LPG imports fell to 376,200 barrels per day in April, less than half of February's 851,870 barrels per day. Domestic production increased to 530,000 barrels daily in April, up 75,000 barrels from prior levels, but the country is approaching maximum capacity. "The constraint is that domestic output is nearly at full capacity, meaning any import recovery shortfall will persist," said Sumit Ritolia, chief analyst for refining and supply at Kpler.
