Israel is intensifying preparations for a potential renewed conflict with Iran, with Israeli government officials indicating they are “on high alert” for the possibility of U.S.-Iran negotiations collapsing as early as early next week.
Israeli government officials stated that the United States may increase pressure on Iran regarding the Hormuz Strait and could launch military strikes against Iranian energy facilities and government infrastructure. Israeli officials have also indicated that Israel itself may “soon resume” military operations against Iran.
Israeli Defense Minister Katz stated on April 30 that while Israel supports U.S.-Iran negotiations, Israel may “soon need to act again.” Katz further stated that Israel is “ready at any time to strike enemies on any front, at any location,” according to CCTV News.
