According to Fortune (via BlockBeats), on May 15, OpenAI is considering legal action against Apple regarding the integration of ChatGPT into Siri, citing dissatisfaction with how the technology is being used and commercialized. The company expressed disappointment with user conversion to ChatGPT paid subscriptions following the partnership that began approximately two years ago.
OpenAI’s legal team has engaged external law firms to evaluate potential responses including litigation. The collaboration between the two companies has grown tense, with Apple also exploring further partnerships with OpenAI competitors.
