ParaTaxis Ethereum Adds 310 ETH, Claims Largest Holdings in Asia

ETH-0.75%

ParaTaxis Ethereum, a KOSDAQ-listed ETH treasury company, announced on 26 that it purchased 310 additional ETH on the 22nd, bringing total holdings to 9,001 from the previous 8,691. According to the company, this positions it as the largest ETH holder among listed companies in Asia, and 13th globally based on CoinGecko data. The acquisition occurs as the regulatory environment for digital assets shifts in the US and Korea, with the company citing potential clarity on asset classification as a factor.

ETH Holdings and Asset Classification

ParaTaxis Ethereum views ETH not as a simple investment asset but as core infrastructure for decentralized finance (DeFi), real-world asset tokenization (RWA), and stablecoin ecosystems. The company stated that the US CLARITY Act recently passed Senate Banking Committee markup, and if enacted, ETH and other major digital assets would likely be classified as "commodities" rather than "securities" under the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) oversight framework.

Regulatory Context

In the United States, ongoing discussions about bringing digital assets into regulated markets have continued. The CLARITY Act's progression through Senate markup represents a step in legislative procedures that could reshape institutional investment in digital assets.

Domestically in Korea, discussions on a Digital Assets Basic Law are ongoing following the implementation of the Digital Assets User Protection Act. ParaTaxis Ethereum stated it is proactively applying related operational standards to align with regulatory developments both domestically and internationally.

Funding and Future Strategy

The company explained that the 310 ETH acquisition was funded using approximately 2.9% of assets as of the end of 2025. Going forward, ParaTaxis Ethereum plans to expand revenue generation opportunities through ETH staking rewards and diverse revenue models.

Lee Myung-hun, CEO of ParaTaxis Ethereum, stated: "Through continuous ETH acquisition, we will further solidify our position as Asia's largest listed company holding ETH. We will identify diverse revenue-generating opportunities aligned with Ethereum network growth and digital asset market changes, focusing on maximizing shareholder value."
