Qatar, Saudi Arabia Discuss U.S.-Iran Ceasefire and Regional Stability in High-Level Call on May 17

According to Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister held a phone call with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister on May 17. The two officials reviewed bilateral cooperation and discussed ways to strengthen ties, as well as regional developments—particularly matters related to a U.S.-Iran ceasefire—and efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and enhancing regional security and stability.
