Ship Dismantling Facility Fire in Hiroshima Continues; About 650 Residents Evacuated on May 16

According to Jin10, a ship dismantling facility fire in Hiroshima, Japan continued on May 16, with approximately 650 residents from nearby areas ordered to evacuate. The fire, which started on May 14, remained uncontrolled as of the latest update. Three fire trucks, one fireboat, and three Japan Coast Guard patrol vessels are engaged in firefighting operations. Authorities evacuated 26 residents and staff members from a nursing facility in the affected zone.
