According to Press TV, former Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander Mohsen Rezaei stated that the United States attempted twice to open the Strait of Hormuz during ceasefire negotiations, both efforts failing. In one attempt, an American naval vessel sustained significant damage from Iranian missiles.
