Gate.io has officially launched Event Contracts, introducing a new way to participate in crypto price movements without the complexity and risks associated with traditional leveraged futures trading. Instead of opening margin positions or worrying about liquidation, traders simply predict whether an asset's price will finish higher or lower within a selected time period. If the prediction is correct, the contract settles at 1 USDT per contract. If the prediction is wrong, the contract expires at zero. If your prediction is correct and you hold until expiry, every contract settles at exactly 1 USDT, giving you 100 USDT and a profit of 60 USDT. If the prediction is wrong, the contracts expire worthless and your maximum loss remains the original 40 USDT.

Gate.io currently supports both BTC and ETH Event Contracts, allowing traders to participate in the two largest cryptocurrency markets. Four different settlement periods are available, including 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, and 4 hours.
