If you only look at the final result, it’s easy to overlook the changes beforehand. The price has been grinding in the high range for a long time; every subsequent attempt to push higher is harder than the last. The signals shown on the chart are actually already very clear.

I opened a short position around 1897.16, waiting for a pullback confirmation after a failed rebound. As the price came to 1888.45, the previously pressured area was gradually validated. The current +79.79% is a solid realized gain.

I’ve never liked chasing a sharp drop to open a position. Before opportunities appear, observe first; after an opportunity is confirmed, then execute. Understanding the change matters more than chasing the price action.

This time, I didn’t disrupt the rhythm, and it also reminds me not to get complacent just because the outcome went smoothly. Profit needs to be protected, and controlling drawdown is the foundation for sustainable trading.
