According to CNBC, Amazon unveiled its next-generation Proteus robot on Thursday at its Delivering the Future event in London. The autonomous mobile robot can understand and respond to natural language commands from workers, allowing staff to direct it without technical programming. The original Proteus, deployed since 2022, is currently operating in 25 U.S. fulfillment centers. Amazon plans to roll out the advanced version across Europe in the first half of 2027, backed by a €10 billion ($11.6 billion) investment to modernize fulfillment operations in the region.
