Aramid Fiber Demand to Rise 4,000-12,000 Tons Through 2028 Driven by AI Data Center Boom

According to China Securities, aramid fiber producers are seeing surging orders this year as demand from artificial intelligence data center construction drives expansion in the fiber optics cable sector. The company noted that current production capacity is running at high utilization, with aramid fiber prices rising and profit margins improving. Aramid fiber is used in fiber optics cables for 40-60% of applications. China Securities projects that demand for aramid fiber will increase by 4,000 to 12,000 tons between 2026 and 2028 due to AI data center demand.
