According to Oxford Economics, Asia’s chip exports showed a record divergence in March, with export values surging 81% year-over-year while volumes increased only 28%, according to the institute’s proprietary Asia Chip Export Index. Despite the price-volume gap typically signaling a market peak, economist Betty Wang said Monday that this time “the situation appears different.”
