Avalanche Showcases Stablecoin Real-World Use: Hyundai Cuts Remittance Time to 7 Minutes, FIFA Moves $25M in Tickets

According to Justin Kim, head of Avaabs Asia, on July 23 during an NHN KCP X Avalanche payment seminar in Seoul, stablecoins have entered a stage of practical corporate infrastructure deployment. Hyundai Motor Group used Avalanche blockchain and USDT to transfer funds from its U.S. subsidiary to its Mexico subsidiary, reducing remittance time from 3-4 hours to 7 minutes. The company also demonstrated potential for African transactions, where traditional banking takes 30-40 days to settle receivables.

FIFA's official secondary ticket trading platform, running on Avalanche since 2025, recorded over 100,000 tickets traded with transaction volume reaching $25 million by June 2026. FIFA allows ticket resale in stablecoins alongside credit cards, generating 15% transaction fees as new revenue. The platform tokenizes ticket exchange rights rather than tickets themselves, preserving existing systems while integrating blockchain efficiency.
