Bank of Japan Expects Neutral Economic Outlook in July Forecast, Shifts From April's Downside Risks

According to Kento Minami, chief economist at Daiwa Securities, the Bank of Japan is expected to take a neutral stance on economic risks in its quarterly forecast to be released in July, representing a shift from April's downside-leaning assessment. While downside risks to the economy have receded, upside inflation risks have become the focus, Minami said on June 24. This shift in outlook could directly influence policy decisions at the July meeting and beyond.
