Bank of Korea Raises 2026-2027 GDP Growth Forecasts to 2.6% and 2.1%, Up from February

According to the Bank of Korea, on May 28, the central bank raised its economic growth forecasts for 2026 and 2027 to 2.6% and 2.1% respectively, compared to previous February estimates of 2.0% and 1.8%.

The bank also revised upward its inflation projections, forecasting 2026 CPI at 2.7% (vs. 2.2% in February) and 2027 CPI at 2.3% (vs. 2.0% in February).
