Base Experiences 30+ Hour Withdrawal Delays Following Azul Upgrade on May 28

According to Ethereum Korea, Base Layer 2 experienced over 30 hours of withdrawal delays following its Azul upgrade on May 28, due to a TEE enclave bug that stalled state updates. The upgrade aimed to strengthen Base's optimistic rollup structure by integrating Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) and zero-knowledge proof validation systems. However, the TEE enclave malfunction prevented timely state settlement. Notably, the zero-knowledge proof design allows any participant to submit corrective proofs, yet none were submitted to resolve the issue in the incident window.
