According to Pierre Rochard, VP of Research at Riot Platforms, Bitcoin's 2024 halving cycle represents "the worst halving cycle in Bitcoin history." Bitcoin is currently trading near $60,000, roughly 50 percent below its all-time high of $126,000, after hitting that peak 37 days before the halving event itself. Samson Mow, CEO of Jan3, counters that if halving cycles have indeed accelerated, the market bottom may already be in rather than arriving several months ahead. The debate centers on whether the early peak signals a broken cycle model or a compressed one.
