Blackstone Private Equity Fund Posts Record 4.3% Return in May, Up 11.4% Year-to-Date Driven by Anthropic Investment

According to Bloomberg, Blackstone's Private Equity Strategies fund posted a record 4.3% net return in May, lifting its year-to-date gain to 11.4%, with the AI startup Anthropic investment serving as a key driver of the fund's strong performance.

In the second quarter, Blackstone deployed more than US$2.5 billion across its private equity vehicles, including an additional investment in Anthropic and a stake in payments company Stripe. The asset manager noted that market conditions for buyouts and initial public offerings are improving.
