Warren Buffett pledged on Tuesday, July 14, to divest his entire holding of approximately $140 billion in Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.B) shares by 2034. The 96-year-old billionaire announced plans to distribute 12 million B-shares to family-controlled charitable foundations, including 9 million shares to the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation and 1 million shares each to foundations led by his three children. Buffett stated that Berkshire Hathaway stock represents approximately 99.5% of his net worth.
