Bytedance and Qualcomm Reach ASIC Chip Supply Agreement on May 27

According to Bloomberg, Bytedance and Qualcomm reached an agreement on May 27 to supply millions of special application chips (ASIC) for AI data centers. Under the deal, Bytedance will procure millions of Qualcomm ASIC chips to support its AI agent software, positioning the TikTok parent as one of Qualcomm's first major ASIC customers. The agreement operates within U.S. regulatory limits on AI chip exports to Chinese companies.
