Cantor Fitzgerald Partners With Securitize to Launch Onchain IPO Infrastructure

Cantor Fitzgerald and Securitize announced yesterday (July 15) a partnership to bring blockchain technology directly into the public offering process, according to CoinDesk. Cantor will provide equity capital markets and trading capabilities, while Securitize supplies infrastructure to issue, distribute, and service tokenized securities. The arrangement allows companies to raise capital through offerings incorporating blockchain-based ownership records while remaining within traditional IPO frameworks. Unlike earlier tokenization efforts focused on secondary trading or investment funds, this partnership centers on the issuance of securities themselves, with tokens representing underlying securities directly rather than functioning as wrappers.
