Catena Labs Completes $30M Series A, Led by Acrew Capital and a16z crypto

According to The Block, Catena Labs, co-founded by Circle's Sean Neville, completed a $30 million Series A funding round with Acrew Capital and a16z crypto as lead investors. The AI-focused financial startup simultaneously filed an application with the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) for a national trust bank charter, seeking regulatory approval to hold customer funds and process AI agent trading payments. The company had previously raised $18 million in a seed round led by a16z crypto in 2025.
