Cato Institute Researcher Questions Trump's Midterm Election Claims Amid Iran Strait Tensions

GateNews
According to Doug Bandow, senior research fellow at the Cato Institute, on May 28, Trump is facing a difficult situation as the U.S. and Iran implement competing blockades in the Strait of Hormuz. Bandow disputed Trump's claims that he does not care about the conflict's impact on the upcoming midterm elections in November. "He may say he doesn't care, but no one really believes it. What he least wants to see is the Republican Party suffering a major defeat in November," Bandow said. "Everyone wants this to end, and I have no doubt he is listening and does care," the analyst added.
