CBOT Grain Futures Surge on Monday: Corn Up 4.7%, Wheat Up 4.5%, Soybeans Up 3%

According to Bloomberg data, grain futures rallied on Monday (May 18) at the close of trading in New York. The Bloomberg Grains Index rose 3.76% to 32.9265 points, gaining throughout the session.

CBOT corn futures surged 4.72% to $4.7725 per bushel, wheat futures climbed 4.56% to $6.6475 per bushel, and soybean futures gained 2.97% to $12.12 per bushel. In contrast, livestock futures declined: lean hog futures fell 0.44%, live cattle futures dropped 0.32%, and feeder cattle futures slid 0.74%.
