China-Europe Freight Trains Surge 10.8 Times Over Decade, Reaching 129 Chinese Cities

According to China State Railway Group, the annual number of China-Europe freight trains increased 10.8 times over the past decade as of June 19, 2026. The services now connect 129 cities across China and reach 26 countries with 236 cities in Europe, significantly expanding coverage compared to 2016.

The expansion demonstrates the growing connectivity between Asia and Europe, with the railway network now covering major transport corridors across the continent.
