China Sets Yuan Midpoint at 6.8198 Against Dollar on June 8, Up 41 Points

On June 8, China's central bank set the yuan midpoint rate against the U.S. dollar at 6.8198, up 41 basis points. The yuan also weakened against other major currencies: the euro midpoint was set at 7.8476, down 443 points; the British pound midpoint at 9.0812, down 419 points; and the Australian dollar midpoint at 4.7971, down 486 points.
