China's Central Environmental Inspection Reveals Aquaculture Pollution, Red Mangrove Deaths in Guangdong and Guangxi

According to the Third Round, Sixth Batch of China's Central Ecological Environmental Protection Inspection, Guangdong and Guangxi regions face significant aquaculture wastewater and marine ecosystem problems. In Guangdong, six farming facilities in Huizhou have exceeded wastewater standards, with four discharging into protected areas including the Daya Bay aquatic resources reserve and Huidong red mangrove wetland. In Guangxi's Beihai, replanted red mangroves showed high mortality rates, with only 5.1% of planted areas surviving. Qinzhou's Longmen Port area exhibits a 6-kilometer pollution belt caused by marine debris accumulation.
