China's Government Drafting National Urban Renewal Legislation; 4 Provinces, 20 Cities Have Adopted Local Regulations

According to China's Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development Vice Minister Qin Haixiang at a State Council policy briefing, the national government is researching and drafting urban renewal legislation. The ministry supports localities in enacting regional ordinances. As of now, four provinces and 20 cities have introduced local urban renewal regulations.
