China's Jijiaoshan Lithium Mine Launches 40,000-Tonne Carbonate Production Line

According to SMM, Dadong Mining's Jijiaoshan lithium mine in Hunan held its start-up ceremony on June 18, 2026, for its 40,000-tonne annual lithium carbonate production line. The mine holds proven lithium ore reserves of 490 million tonnes and oxidized lithium resources of 1.31 million tonnes, with associated strategic minerals including rubidium, tungsten, tin, niobium, and tantalum at mid-to-large scale. The beneficiation plant is designed to process 20 million tonnes of ore annually. The mining license was obtained in January 2026, with formal full-scale production expected in early Q4 2026.
