Circle officially launched Nanopayments on mainnet on April 29, 2026, introducing a gas-free USDC payment system supporting transactions as small as $0.000001 across 12 blockchain networks. The platform enables near-instant verification and batched settlement, allowing services to respond within milliseconds instead of waiting for full blockchain confirmation.
Nanopayments is live on Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon PoS, and other networks. Early adopters integrating the technology include Alchemy, Goldsky, and QuickNode. Circle’s x402 payment protocol, which powers the system, has already processed over $100 million in transaction volume since its earlier launch this year.
