According to Slow Mist founder Yu Xin, an attack on the OLPC/LABUBU liquidity pool on BNB Chain today drained approximately 1.115 million USDT by exploiting a critically modified parameter. The attack was enabled by a decimalsValue parameter that had been abnormally changed from its normal value of 1 to 7326680472586200649 about 46 days ago, allegedly by the OLPC contract owner. This oversized parameter value allowed attackers to trigger a disproportionate burn mechanism in the pair reserves, enabling them to exchange small amounts of OLPC for large quantities of LABUBU tokens. The suspicious aspect centers on why the contract owner made such an extreme parameter modification, which subsequently contributed to a total liquidity loss of approximately 1.1 million dollars.
