According to Korea Economic TV, crude oil declined 16% this week, while U.S. stocks posted a mixed close on July 28. The Dow Jones index rose 1% on the back of strong corporate earnings, but the Nasdaq fell 0.2% as global semiconductor selling persisted. The Philadelphia Semiconductor index dropped 4.5%, sliding 25% from its peak.
