According to BlockBeats, on June 20, CZ, Binance founder, proposed during a Galaxy Brains podcast interview that approximately 1 million BTC from Satoshi Nakamoto's addresses should be frozen in a new protocol if they remain unmoved following Bitcoin's fork to implement quantum-resistant cryptography. CZ suggested the community allow a 6- to 12-month window for holders to migrate their coins; if not moved by then, the addresses should be locked and the BTC removed from circulation to prevent exploitation by quantum computing.
