Dollar-Won 1-Month NDF Falls to 1,452.20 on July 29 Amid Weak U.S. Consumer Confidence

According to overseas brokers, the dollar-won 1-month non-deliverable forward (NDF) plunged to 1,452.20 on July 29, down 10.10 won from Seoul's previous close of 1,462.50.

The decline reflects broader dollar weakness driven by a weaker-than-expected U.S. consumer confidence index and easing U.S.-Iran tensions, which triggered a sharp drop in global oil prices. Fed officials are also expected to adopt a more dovish stance ahead of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) decision, further pressuring the dollar.
