Economist Forecasts U.S. Private Sector Job Growth of 100K in May, Matching April Pace

According to Dave Sloan, senior economist at Continuum Economics, U.S. private sector employment is expected to grow by approximately 100,000 in May, roughly matching April's addition of 109,000 jobs. April marked the strongest monthly gain since January 2025. Sloan noted that May weekly ADP employment data through May 9 suggested slightly stronger momentum, with the four-week average indicating potential for robust growth similar to April's performance.
