ETH 15-minute drawdown of 0.46%: A U.S.-Iran ceasefire combined with ETF inflows supports prices stabilizing

Within the 22:15–22:30 UTC period on July 27, 2026, ETH saw a short-term drawdown of 0.46%, with a price range of 1928.57–1939.38 USDT and an amplitude of 0.56%. While the 15-minute K-line shows a pullback, ETH’s 24-hour performance remains up 1.66%, with prices steady around $1,945. Market attention has noticeably increased, and long/short competition has intensified.

The main driver behind this move is the rapid rebound in global risk appetite after the U.S.–Iran ceasefire. Easing Middle East geopolitical tensions led to a 5% drop in oil prices; risk assets rebounded across the board. As a high-beta asset, ETH benefited significantly. At the same time, Ethereum spot ETFs have continued to see net inflows, strengthening institutional long positioning. Increased network activity and growth in liquid staking further reinforce price support. Compared with BTC’s 1.07% rise over the same period, ETH’s 3.55% 24-hour performance reflects the underlying logic of capital rotating into the Ethereum ecosystem.

Second, potential buy pressure is building as short-side floating losses mount. On-chain data shows Abraxas’s ETH short position has an unrealized loss of about $5.5 million and has not reduced its position. If prices keep rising, it may trigger short covering. The Order Book bid-depth ratio is 7.56, with buy orders clearly dominating. A large buy wall around $1,945.82 provides near-term support. Technically, the 1-hour ADX reached 43.4, with the moving-average system in a bullish alignment; short-term trend momentum remains strong.

Risks to watch include a short-term pullback. ETH is currently facing near-term technical resistance at $1,950. If it breaks through, it could test the major psychological level at $2,000. If negotiations sour or ETF inflows sharply reverse, focus on the $1,900 psychological support level in the near term. Investors should closely track progress on U.S.–Iran peace talks, how this week’s U.S. earnings season affects overall risk sentiment, and changes in flows into Ethereum spot ETFs.
