According to Ethereum's ACDE (All Core Developers Execution) 241st meeting, the Dencun upgrade has entered its final devnet stage, with devnet8 likely to be the last development network before public testnet deployment. The upgrade includes 10 EIP bundles, notably ePBS (Encrypted PBS), which separates block proposer and builder roles within the Ethereum protocol itself, and BAL (Block Access List), which improves node validation and synchronization efficiency. Dencun targets mainnet activation in the second half of 2026, though it will undergo public testnet validation before mainnet deployment. Developers are advised to begin preparations now, as the upgrade will modify block creation structure, network data processing, and node synchronization mechanisms.
