EU Safeguard Quotas Tighten Supply, European Hot-Rolled Coil Prices Rise to €710–720/Ton

According to Jin10 Futures, on July 14, EU safeguard quota clearance concerns and rising import uncertainty prompted European steelmakers to raise benchmark offers for September-delivery hot-rolled coil to €710–720/ton. The quota constraints have forced cancellations of some overseas orders and narrowed available sourcing channels, intensifying buyer concerns over second-half supply availability. As summer restocking demand gradually releases, the market is expected to sustain upward price pressure.
