European stock indices opened higher on May 25 (Monday), with major benchmarks showing broad gains. Germany's DAX 30 rose 229.11 points to 25,157.5 (up 0.92%); France's CAC 40 gained 50.57 points to 8,166.32 (up 0.62%); the Stoxx 50 advanced 65.55 points to 6,085.00 (up 1.09%); Spain's IBEX 35 climbed 218.24 points to 18,203.54 (up 1.21%); and Italy's FTSE MIB increased 472.53 points to 49,983.5 (up 0.95%).
