Fed Updates Kevin Warsh's Title to "Chairman," Breaking 12-Year "Chair" Precedent

The Federal Reserve's official website has updated Kevin Warsh's title to "Chairman" rather than "Chair," according to CNBC. This reverses a 12-year convention established by his predecessors Janet Yellen and Jerome Powell, both of whom used "Chair" as their official title.

Prior to Yellen's tenure, "Chairman" was the sole formal title for the Fed chair position. No law or regulation mandates which term must be used, making it a matter of personal preference.
