France's National Assembly Approves €36 Billion Defense Budget Increase by 2030

According to Jin10 Data, France's National Assembly approved on May 19 a defense budget increase of €36 billion cumulatively by 2030. The move raises the total defense budget for 2024–2030 from €400 billion to €436 billion. By 2030, France's annual defense spending is projected to reach €76.3 billion, an increase of €8.9 billion from the original plan, representing approximately 2.5% of GDP.
