Gold Becomes Largest Global Official Reserve Asset at 27% Share, Overtaking U.S. Treasuries

According to an ECB report released on June 2, gold has become the largest asset in global official reserves as of end-2025, accounting for 27% of total reserves. U.S. Treasury holdings declined to 22%, dropping from the top position.
