Hyundai Assembly Workers Plan Three-Day Strike for 30% Profit Bonus Amid South Korean Wage Demands

According to Yonhapnews, Hyundai Motor assembly workers plan to conduct a three-day partial strike next week, demanding the company allocate up to 30% of consolidated profits for bonuses. The action follows similar efforts earlier this week and comes after Samsung Electronics agreed to pay higher bonuses following employee protests. Unions at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, LG Uplus, Hanwha Aerospace, and Hyundai Electric are also seeking bonuses equal to at least 30% of operating profits, with some demanding the complete removal of bonus caps.
