Insilico Medicine Secures $600M AI Drug Deal with Takeda

According to Security Times, on July 2, Insilico Medicine signed a collaboration agreement with Takeda to develop drug candidates using Insilico's Pharma.AI platform. The Hong Kong-listed company will receive $60 million in upfront and near-term milestone payments, with total potential deal value reaching $600 million plus tiered royalties based on preclinical, clinical, and sales milestones. Takeda holds exclusive global rights to develop and commercialize any resulting therapies.

Insilico completed its Hong Kong IPO in December 2025. The company's platform has already entered clinical development, including Rentosertib, an idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis drug candidate that completed Phase IIa trials in China.
