Iran and Oman Collaborate on Strait of Hormuz Long-Term Security Mechanism on May 20

According to Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Baghaei, on May 20 evening, Iran is cooperating with Oman and coordinating with relevant international professional institutions to establish a security mechanism to ensure long-term stability and safety of the Strait of Hormuz and prevent any actions threatening national interests. Baghaei stated that Iran is committed to maintaining safe navigation through the strait and is willing to cooperate with other littoral states to develop agreements and mechanisms safeguarding international maritime shipping safety.
