Iran Outlines Four-Stage U.S. Peace Deal Framework on June 3, Starting With Ceasefire

According to Iranian media on June 3, a proposed U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding framework includes four phases beginning with a comprehensive ceasefire covering both nations, Iran-backed "Axis of Resistance" groups, and regional conflict zones including Lebanon and Red Sea shipping lanes.

The second phase focuses on Hormuz Strait passage mechanisms, U.S. maritime blockade measures, oil export restrictions, sanctions relief, and the unfreezing of Iran's overseas assets. Subsequent phases address broader sanctions negotiations and Iran's nuclear program, followed by establishment of oversight committees to monitor agreement implementation. The U.S. government has not yet officially confirmed the framework.
