Iran Scholar Rejects US Coercion Diplomacy, Seeks to Break Carrot-and-Stick Cycle

According to Jin10, on July 11, Iranian university professor Hakimeh Saghaye-Biria said the United States continues its long-standing coercive diplomacy toward Iran, dangling economic integration as an incentive while threatening military force. Saghaye-Biria stated that Iran is rejecting this "carrot-and-stick" logic and seeking to break the cycle. She emphasized the importance of 25 years of historical context, noting: "Iran's distrust of the international community and the United States is equal in measure to America's claims that Iran is untrustworthy."
